Pavo20 Pro / Pro II — a series of lightweight yet powerful cinewhoop drones adapted for the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro. They combine high stability with clear video, support for ND filters, and quick, solder-free HD module installation. These are drones that need no introduction: just take off and shoot. They can handle aggressive freestyle, deliver stable 4K footage, all while weighing under 150 grams (including battery and VTX).
Two versions are available: the classic Pavo20 Pro and the advanced Pavo20 Pro II, which offers even lower weight, higher rigidity, and bright RGB lighting.
Camera: Wide Angle and Stable Image
The Pavo20 Pro is equipped with the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro — a latest-generation digital HD system with a camera capable of shooting video at up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Thanks to its wide-angle lens, it captures more space in the frame, while the narrow tilt angle is fixed with a dual mount offering smooth adjustment (0-40°).
The signal is transmitted with low latency and high stability due to optimized antenna placement at a 30° angle, reducing the likelihood of signal loss even during maneuvers.
Frame and Construction
Both frames are made of impact-resistant plastic (PA12) and feature integrated copper inserts for secure mounting. However, they have key differences:
-
Pavo20 Pro: has a wheelbase of 93.7 mm. This is a time-tested modular design that ensures stability and component protection.
-
Pavo20 Pro II: this is the next generation with a wheelbase of 93.9 mm. The frame features a quick-assembly system with 4 screws, making it significantly stiffer and easier to maintain. Weight has been reduced by ≈6 grams, improving maneuverability.
In both versions, the camera is installed via special rubber dampers that completely eliminate the "jello" effect. The mounting design allows for quick changing of ND filters without additional tools.
Electronics
Flight controller — F4 2-3S 20A AIO FC V1. It features an integrated 9V 2A BEC for stable power to the DJI module even when the battery sags. ESC peak current — up to 25A. A black box (16MB), GPS support, and external receivers (ELRS, SBUS) are provided. Updated pads and a Type-C connector simplify maintenance.
Motors
The power plant is built on LAVA 1104 7200KV motors, which, together with Gemfan 2218 (2.2") 3-blade propellers, provide linear thrust with quick response — ideal for freestyle.
- In the Pro version, powered by a 3S 550mAh battery, a thrust-to-weight ratio of over 5:1 is achieved.
- In the Pro II version, thanks to the lighter frame and improved aerodynamics, the thrust-to-weight ratio reaches 6.23:1.
Flight time up to 6 min 40 s. The system is designed for dynamic turns and quick altitude recovery.
Key Advantages:
- Full compatibility with DJI O4 Pro without soldering: everything connects via a 6-pin cable and is secured in the standard mount.
- Ready to fly after binding and minimal Betaflight setup.
- Quiet, stable camera operation: rubber dampers, properly spaced mounts, no "jello" effect.
- Large current and BEC headroom — protection against overheating or power sag under load.
- Optimized for light filtering: support for ND/UV filters for O4 Pro right out of the box.
- Improved aerodynamics: thrust boost up to 11% compared to predecessors.
