The Ajax DoorProtect wireless sensor is designed to detect the opening of doors and windows. The sensor is equipped with a terminal block for connecting additional wired sensors, including wired opening sensors designed for installation on metal gates and hatches.
The sensor consists of two parts — a magnet and a block with a reed switch. In the normal state, the magnet and the reed switch block are closed. As soon as the door on which the sensor is installed opens, the magnet moves away from the reed switch, the contacts open, and the reed switch stops conducting current. When the door closes, the reverse processes occur. In both cases, the sensor triggers and instantly sends an alarm message to the central unit. The sensor is equipped with an English reed switch that does not stick and operates for over a million closures/openings. Ajax DoorProtect is equipped with an effective wireless radio communication system that uses message encryption and spoofing protection. This ensures high security of the alarm system against attempts by criminals to break in. In addition, the sensor has an ultra-modern, highly reliable communication system, which allows it to operate successfully within several floors of a business center or at a distance of up to 1200 m in open terrain from the central alarm unit.
