A camera designed for security

An outdoor camera often has to shoot in challenging lighting conditions. Direct sunlight, reflective surfaces, or streetlights can blind the camera, depriving the image of important details. This is unacceptable for a security device. We faced the challenge of obtaining a clear and contrasting image that would confirm an intrusion in seconds and allow the security company to react in time.

Quality in detail

We abandoned plastic optics and made a waterproof lens from glass and metal. The wide-angle lens covers the entire protected area, providing a complete picture of what is happening. In bright light, an infrared filter is automatically applied, ensuring color reproduction without distortion, and two bright IR LEDs help to see an intruder even in absolute darkness.

To take one photo, the MotionCam Outdoor camera takes two consecutive frames with long and short exposures. The processor instantly combines the frames, balancing light and dark areas of the photo, then compresses it for the fastest possible transmission.

Thanks to the HDR function, the sensor uses IR illumination less in the dark, saving battery power.

Intelligent false alarm filter

MotionCam Outdoor is equipped with two independent IR sensors, whose signals are analyzed by the two-stage LISA algorithm. As soon as both IR sensors detect motion, LISA performs a correlation and spectral analysis of the signals, allowing it to instantly distinguish a real threat from interference.

Correlation analysis

During each motion detection, the LISA algorithm analyzes and compares the shapes of two signals in real time. If the shapes are similar, the sensor raises an alarm.

Spectral analysis

If both sensors detect motion, but the correlation analysis does not reveal sufficient similarity in shapes, LISA compares the frequency components of the signals from the two sensors.

Multi-level anti-sabotage protection

MotionCam Outdoor cannot be secretly disabled, even if the system is disarmed. The sensor is equipped with masking sensors that react to obstructions, covering, and painting of the lens.

The hub will take less than a minute to detect loss of communication with the sensor and notify the security console and users. It will be instantly known if MotionCam Outdoor has been dismantled.

Uncompromising communication reliability

MotionCam Outdoor uses two secure radio protocols simultaneously: Jeweller and Wings. The radio protocols operate independently of each other, and each is tailored to its function. Jeweller transmits alarms in 0.15 seconds, and thanks to Wings, the first image from the scene will be in the application in less than 9 seconds.

The radio signal range is sufficient to install the sensor where it will be most effective. And a battery life of up to 3 years from pre-installed batteries minimizes maintenance efforts.

The process of connecting and configuring MotionCam Outdoor saves the installation engineer's time as much as possible. To add the sensor to the system, simply scan the QR code with the Ajax app, give it a name and room. Configuration takes place in the app in real time using detection zone and signal level tests. If necessary, the sensor can be temporarily disabled or reconfigured without visiting the protected object.
