Product Description: The Specprom Mars 600 armor plate, 4+ protection class, 6 mm thick, is offered by a state-owned enterprise from production remnants. Armor Plate Composition

• 1. Anti-fragmentation layer: 10 mm (±3 mm) thick, weighing 0.145 kg (±0.035 kg). Material: felt, saturated with a non-combustible solution, pressed and dried under pressure, glued with special adhesive, and held in a matrix under uniform pressure of 500–1000 kg over an area of 7 decimeters for at least 120 minutes to ensure uniform bonding.
• 2. Armor plate (body): Mars 600 metal, 6 mm thick, weighing 3.350 kg (±0.05 kg). The metal is supplied by ArcelorMittal (France). Laser cutting with a 2 kW power at 1.5 m/min prevents edge overheating and deformation, followed by rolling with a 400 mm radius and four-time rolling at different angles to achieve a uniform, seamless curve.
• 3. Softening layer: 10 mm (±3 mm) thick, weighing 0.035 kg (±0.005 kg). Made of foamed rubber, fire-resistant and comfortable against the body, it reduces the risk of penetrating and blunt trauma from bullet impact.

Manufacturing Technology and Quality Control

The anti-fragmentation layer is glued and pressed in a matrix under controlled pressure, ensuring reliable layer bonding and preventing fragment dispersion upon bullet impact. Each plate undergoes multi-stage quality control after gluing and machining. 2 kW laser cutting at 1.5 m/min and multiple rolling guarantee the preservation of metal properties and the absence of deformations at the plate edges.

Ballistic Characteristics

The armor plate withstands hits from an AK-74 assault rifle, 5.45 mm cartridge, 7N6M bullet. When used in body armor with a soft ballistic package of protection class 2, the plate withstands a shot from an AKM 7.62×39 assault rifle with a 57-BZ-231 (armor-piercing incendiary) bullet in a steel jacket with a steel heat-strengthened core at a bullet velocity of 745±15 m/s. A firing test report is available, as well as all accompanying documents.
