Ballistic Nape Protector, Class 2. Multicam — Specprom
The compact and lightweight ballistic nape protector from Specprom is a specially designed pad for additional protection of the nape area when performing tasks in extreme conditions. The product meets Class 2 ballistic protection requirements according to DSTU 8782:2018 and STANAG V-50 standards, confirming its ability to withstand firearm threats and fragmentation injuries.
The pad withstands direct hits from the following ammunition:
- 9×18 mm (Makarov)
- 9×19 mm (Luger, Parabellum)
- 7.62×25 mm (Tokarev)
In addition to bullets, the plate reliably protects against fragments, small concrete debris, glass, and ricochets at speeds up to ±650 m/s, making it effective in close combat and when there is a risk of explosive fragments.
The product weighs only 75 g, so the protection is practically unnoticeable on the head and does not create additional strain on the neck during prolonged wear. For quick and reliable attachment, a convenient Velcro fastening is provided, allowing easy installation and removal of the pad, as well as position adjustment to fit most modern military helmets.
Construction and Materials
The plate base is made of high-quality ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) with a density of 160 g/m². 35 layers of UHMWPE are used, joined by laser sealing to ensure seam integrity and prevent fragment penetration through micro-cracks. The outer cover is made of durable Cordura 500D fabric, which withstands over 50,000 wear cycles, is water-repellent, and resistant to fire and mechanical damage.
