Quadrifilar Antenna — Key Element of Dome Anti-Drone EW for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

A quadrifilar antenna with circular polarization is a critically important component of portable EW systems. Thanks to its shape, it provides uniform signal emission in all directions, which is especially effective for anti-drone EW systems. In conditions of active use of enemy FPV drones, such an antenna reliably disrupts drone communication and navigation channels, ensuring repulsion even in a complex electronic warfare environment.

Quadrifilar antennas are actively used in short-range EW systems, including trench EW, backpack EW, dome vehicle EW and other EW systems of Ukraine supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They can be integrated into mobile EW systems that are easy to install on a vehicle or in a dugout.

Most standard antennas use linear signal polarization, which significantly complicates effectiveness in complex radio frequency conditions. Instead, dome quadrifilar antennas with circular polarization ensure reliable operation in such environments, increasing the resistance of EW systems to interference.
