Product Description: Hydrogel medical sterile dressing, 2 mm thick, mesh-reinforced, 10x10 cm in size, pain-relieving (contains lidocaine). ARMA-GEL+ hydrogel sterile medical dressings with lidocaine provide local anesthesia due to the active ingredient lidocaine (lidocaine; 2-diethylamino o-2', 6'-dimethylacetanilide hydrochloride monohydrate) — an effective agent for superficial local pain relief.

Mechanism of Action: Lidocaine stabilizes neuronal membranes by reducing permeability to sodium ions, which prevents the generation of action potentials and the conduction of nerve impulses. Antagonism with calcium ions is possible. When applied topically, lidocaine dilates blood vessels and does not cause local irritation. It is rapidly hydrolyzed in a weakly alkaline tissue environment and, after a short latent period, acts for 1-1.5 years. The anesthetic effect of lidocaine is 2-6 times stronger than that of novocaine (procaine). The concentration of lidocaine in the dressing does not exceed 2%. In the presence of an active inflammatory process in the wound, the anesthetic activity of lidocaine may decrease.

Indications for Use: Used for wounds and burns. ARMA-GEL+ hydrogel sterile medical dressing with lidocaine can be used for emergency first aid for burns, various superficial injuries without wound bleeding, for the treatment of early postoperative wounds, trophic ulcers, bedsores, inflammatory processes and skin diseases accompanied by intense pain and burning.

Method of Application and Limitations: Intended for external use only — applied to the wound (burn) surface or to necrotic tissues as directed by a physician. The duration of the dressing on the wound depends on the condition of the wound and the phase of the wound process and is determined individually by a physician, but cannot exceed 48 hours.

Special Information: The dressing is mesh-reinforced for improved mechanical strength and ease of fixation. This sterile product is for single use only. Consult a physician before use regarding the method and duration of treatment. Do not use if there is individual hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other components of the dressing.
