The MICH 2000 is a modern tactical helmet that combines a time-tested design with certified ballistic reliability. Developed as a successor to the heavier PASGT model in the early 2000s in the USA, it features a compact, brimless shape and side cutouts for compatibility with tactical headsets. This Specprom model comes in coyote color and quickly became a standard for special forces units and some NATO armies due to its lightness, ergonomics, and ability to integrate additional equipment.

The helmet is certified by a laboratory under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine; it has protection class 1 according to DSTU 8835:2019 and meets the NIJ 0106.01 Type IIIA standard. Ballistic tests confirmed its ability to withstand 9×18 mm (PM/APS 57-N-181s) and 9×19 mm (FMJ RN SC Luger/Parabellum) rounds, guaranteeing protection against typical threats in combat conditions. Each helmet includes a copy of the test protocol as proof of compliance with the stated performance.

The shell is made of UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) — a composite material with an excellent combination of low weight and high resistance to penetration and impact. The helmet weighs approximately 1.4 kg, which reduces fatigue during prolonged wear and makes it comfortable for operations of various durations. Size M-L fits head circumferences of 55–59 cm.

Comfort and Adjustment

For a snug and comfortable fit, the helmet is equipped with a BOA / Team Wendy suspension system with "dial" adjustment, allowing for quick customization to individual parameters. Inside, there is a double layer of soft Velcro pads that can be easily repositioned for optimal cushioning and head shape adjustment.
