OLED screens with a resolution of 1280 x 960 and a diagonal field of view of up to 46° provide high contrast, rich colors, and excellent detail. 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios are supported, making the SKY04X versatile for various cameras and video formats. The adjustable focal length from -6 to +6 eliminates the need for additional diopters for users with vision impairment. The kit includes two faceplates for different face types and soft pads for comfortable long flights.

SteadyView Receiver and Operating Modes

The built-in Skyzone SteadyView 5.8G module with 48 channels operates in Diversity mode (automatic selection of the best signal from two antennas) and RapidMix mode (combining signals from both antennas for a more stable and clear image in challenging conditions). The receiver has a USB Type-C connector for firmware updates and can be replaced with modules from other manufacturers, such as TBS or ImmersionRC.

DVR and Playback

The built-in DVR uses the H264 codec and records video at 60 fps in MOV format with an approximate bitrate of ~6 Mbps. Recording is done in a single file for up to 30 minutes on a Micro SD card (supports up to 128 Gb, Class 10). There is an automatic recording start function when an image appears and the ability to recover the last corrupted file in case of sudden power loss.

Convenient Control and Setup

The OSD interface offers a wide range of settings: receiver control, DVR, video playback, Head Tracker, brightness, saturation, and sharpness adjustment. Ready-made presets are available for image enhancement (standard, vivid, saturated, soft) and three individual settings for different conditions (indoor flights, outdoor, various weather). Menu navigation is done using a ribbed scroll wheel, which replaced the complex multi-function buttons of previous models.
