Description of NOWA JET(p) 850-5050 Surface Jet Pump

The NOWA JET(p) 850-5050 surface jet pump is designed for pumping clean cold water in water supply and irrigation systems.

The NOWA JET(p) 850-5050 surface jet pump belongs to the category of centrifugal self-priming pumps with an internal ejector and does not require priming the suction pipeline with water at the beginning of each start-up. It features a shortened cast-iron body, which significantly reduces its dimensions. It ensures stable water flow parameters during changing operating conditions, smooth changes in motor load, for example, during power supply voltage fluctuations. It is easily integrated into any type of water supply system, including in parallel with other pumps, and is less sensitive to the presence of solid particles and contaminants in the water. It is most often used when a large volume of pumped water is required, while ensuring stable water flow characteristics and avoiding the need for priming water during each start-up.

The pump can be used independently or as part of adaptive, automatic, and non-automatic pumping stations for:

• organizing autonomous water supply: pumping water from wells, boreholes, pools, reservoirs, and other open sources;
• increasing pressure in domestic main water pipelines and water supply systems;
• draining pools, tanks, and containers.

The pump is not intended for pumping mineral and sea water, chemically active, aggressive, and flammable liquids and solutions. The water pumped by the pump must not contain abrasive particles or long-fiber inclusions.

Operating conditions for NOWA JET(p) 850-5050 surface jet pump:

• abrasive particle size must not exceed 0.05 mm;
  
• total mechanical impurity content in water must not exceed 20 g/m³;
• water should not have a high degree of mineralization — no more than 1500 g/m³ in dry residue;
• acidity (pH) must be in the range of 6.5 to 9.5;
• chloride content — no more than 350 g/m³, hydrogen sulfide — no more than 1.5 g/m³;
• operating temperature range of pumped water — from +4 °С to +40 °С;
• suction depth no more than 8 m.
