The 2E Fox One tactical shovel is designed to meet NATO standards for functionality and durability, and the extreme conditions in which it may be used. The lightweight folding design is strong and resilient.
The blade of the entrenching shovel is made of high-hardness steel and has a special powder coating for even greater wear resistance and corrosion protection. The comfortable handle is made of fiberglass-filled nylon – practical in any weather conditions.
Special attention is paid to the internal rod of the handle, which often bears the maximum load. It is made of durable 7075 aluminum alloy with a wall thickness of over 3 mm, and also features additional internal stiffening ribs.
Thus, the 2E Fox One tactical shovel can withstand a breaking load of 136 kg.
An innovative, auxiliary internal spring-type mechanism facilitates quick change of the entrenching shovel mode.
One of the edges of the shovel has special serrations that are excellent for chopping and sawing roots. The design allows the shovel to be fixed in several positions, making it multifunctional:
- in the 1st position, it is a shovel;
- in the 2nd position, the double handle is fixed at a 90º angle to the shaft. This position allows the tool to be used in hard-to-reach places;
- in the 3rd position, the blade can be fixed at a 75º angle to the shaft and used as a pickaxe or hoe.
In another mode, the entrenching shovel can serve as a wheel chock.
