Autel EVO Max 4N combines binocular optical sensors with millimeter-wave radar, allowing it to detect objects as small as 0.5 inches. This enables the drone to fly in rain, low-light conditions, and near critical objects. GPS anti-spoofing, as well as EMI and RFI protection, ensure stable communication and control in challenging environmental conditions.  

Full Protection Against Interference

Advanced flight control modules and algorithms allow the EVO Max 4N to effectively counter radio frequency interference (RFI), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and GPS spoofing. This ensures confident flights near power lines, critical structures, and in radio-saturated areas.

Cameras and Sensors

The multi-sensor camera unit on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal provides a full range of visual and thermal capabilities:

• Zoom Camera: 8K resolution, 10x optical zoom, and 160x digital zoom; hybrid zoom with clear target details up to 2 km away.
• Thermal Imager: 640 × 512 pixels, 16x digital zoom, temperature range from -20° to 550°C.
• Laser Rangefinder: measures from 5 to 1200 m with an accuracy of 1 m.
• Wide-Angle Camera: 50 MP based on a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor, 85° field of view, f/1.9 aperture, Moonlight Algorithm 2.0 for better low-light shots; 4K video at 30 fps, max. ISO 64000.

 

Flight Performance

The EVO Max 4N demonstrates impressive technical parameters: maximum flight altitude up to 7000 meters, maximum horizontal speed up to 82.3 km/h, max. wind resistance during flight up to 27.8 m/s, and takeoff and landing can withstand gusts up to 12 m/s. Power is supplied by a 4S 8070 mAh battery, providing 38–42 minutes of flight depending on the control mode. The Return-to-Home (RTH) system can be activated upon loss of connection or low battery and guarantees return at an altitude of up to 500 meters with an error of less than 30 cm.  

A-Mesh 1.0 — Drone Network

The A-Mesh 1.0 function allows multiple drones to be combined into a mesh network for mutual communication and signal relay, significantly extending the range of BVLOS operations. If one unit fails, the group automatically reorganizes to continue transmitting critical data.  

Smart Controller V3 and Multi-Projection

The included Smart Controller V3 features a 7.9-inch 2048 × 1536 pixel screen with 2000 nits brightness, HDMI outputs, and built-in memory. In combination with Live Deck 2, simultaneous streaming to multiple devices is possible. The video system supports multi-projection: simultaneous display of zoom, thermal image, and map with AR overlays (features partially available later).  

Intelligent Functions and Automatic Missions

The Autel Enterprise app enables planning automatic flights using 3D maps, creating priority missions, recording flight parameters for mission playback, and a wide range of auto-missions: altitude difference monitoring, KML import, advanced waypoints, 5-pass auto-capture, spiral flight, vertical routes, and corridor flights for road and river monitoring.
