Reinforced Anti-Ricochet Layer: The armor plate features a 7 mm thick reinforced anti-fragmentation layer, manufactured using hot vulcanization technology with a pure rubber compound. This ensures a 100% bond between the metal and the anti-fragmentation coating and allows the anti-ricochet layer to work not only on the front surface but also along the edges around the entire perimeter of the plate. Thanks to this, even if a bullet hits 1 cm from the edge, the anti-fragmentation coating does not delaminate, retaining fragments within the plate's structure and reducing the risk of neck and face injuries.
Technology and Materials: The reinforced anti-ricochet layer is made of moisture-resistant material that withstands high temperatures. The inner side of the plate is equipped with a 10 mm layer of Pa-Flex foamed synthetic rubber, which enhances wearing comfort and further absorbs impact energy.
Certification and Testing: Each BOGUN armor plate has an individual number on its tag and laser engraving on the metal. Strength Reserve: In addition to standard 4th class tests, the BOGUN armor plate demonstrated resistance to 7.62×51 mm NATO bullets from a distance of 20 m and 7.62×39 mm BZ (57-BZ-231), which corresponds to a 5th class level of endurance, indicating a significant strength reserve of this plate.
