Copacryl Carbone Resin 4.9 kg SAS F05
Brand: COPACRYL
Product type: Tactical medicine > Medical equipment > Equipment and prosthetic-orthopedic components
Volume/weight: 4.9 kg
Extremely fluid acrylic resin designed for use with carbon reinforcements in the manufacture of composite elements. Copacryl Carbone resin is ideal for creating rigid orthopedic products, including prosthetic sockets and other structures requiring high mechanical properties and durability. Polymerization occurs at room temperature using SIPACRYL hardener in a proportion of 2%-3% by weight of the resin.
FEATURES:
- high mechanical properties of finished composite products;
- excellent skin compatibility;
- possibility of thermoforming after curing within the elasticity of the reinforcement fabrics;
- compatibility with natural reinforcing materials ORTHOFLAX®, ECO-BLACK, and HYBRIDES;
- used to create rigid orthopedic devices, such as prosthetic sockets.
Application and recommendations:
Copacryl Carbone is intended for professional use in prosthetics and orthotics, where strength, low weight, and precise shape reproduction are important. The resin is compatible with carbon fabrics and other reinforcing layers, allowing for uniform material impregnation and high adhesion between layers. After curing, parts can be thermoformed within the elasticity of the reinforcement to achieve the necessary anatomical fit.
Safety and handling rules:
COPACRYL resins contain methyl methacrylate, making them flammable. When working, safety measures must be observed: work in well-ventilated areas, avoid open flames and spark sources, use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, respirators if necessary). It is mandatory to read the safety data sheets (MSDS) and instructions on the packaging and in the technical documentation before starting work.
Storage and packaging:
COPACRYL resins and SIPACRYL hardener have a guaranteed shelf life of 18 months when stored at temperatures between 18°C and 25°C in sealed containers, protected from light and moisture. Short-term storage at temperatures up to 35°C or down to 10°C for no more than 3 months is allowed. After opening the package, it is recommended to seal the container tightly and minimize contact with air to preserve the working properties of the resin.
Copacryl Carbone Resin 4.9 kg SAS F05 is a reliable choice for professional workshops manufacturing prostheses and orthopedic structures where high strength, skin compatibility, and precise shaping capabilities are required.
