PCP Air Rifle ZBROIA Khortytsia 550/230 (cal. 4.5 mm, brown) — a modernized pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle from the Ukrainian company ZBROIA (Kharkiv). The late 2021 model combines a classic Monte Carlo-type ash stock, protected with gun lacquer, and a cutting-edge pneumatic design: barrel length 550 mm, reservoir volume 230 cm3, factory muzzle energy 35 J (adjustable), initial velocity 280 ± 40 m/s (depending on the pellet), caliber 4.5 mm, color — brown.

New Bolt System

The Khortytsia bolt group features a fundamentally new design, similar to the Fortner bolt, ensuring fast and ergonomic reloading. The bolt is cocked with the index finger and returned with the thumb; the bolt movement is linear along the barrel axis. The bolt lever has been enlarged for easier operation with gloves, and the small bolt release button has been removed. To eliminate potential play, an adjustment is provided — simply unscrew the grub screw by half a turn, tighten the nut, and screw it back in.

Linear Magazine and Feeding

The rifle comes with six linear magazines, each holding 5 pellets (30 shots in total), stored in a special niche in the stock. The magazines are securely fixed by a magnetic system, are quickly replaceable, and allow for monitoring the remaining shots due to linear displacement after each shot. The new pellet retention system with two pellets increases feeding reliability at low temperatures and reduces wear on rubber seals.

Updated Stock and Ergonomics

The extended forend in the trigger area allows the rifle to be rested on the fist or palm and has a swivel stud hole for attaching a bipod or sling. The grip has been shortened, and its angle changed to accommodate the new bolt system. The trigger guard is made of wood and carved into the stock, the trigger is duralumin, the safety lever is brass, and the "flag" type safety has been moved to the receiver for left-hand operation. The Picatinny rail has been extended to 160 mm.

Reservoir, Regulator, and Filling System

The rifle is equipped with a regulator, unified with the Kozak and Kozak FC models. The working pressure of the reservoir is 30 MPa (300 kgf/cm2). The diameter of the filling port is 6 mm. Simplified filling system: the reservoir cap has an opening that aligns with the filling port with a single turn — there is no longer a need to unscrew the cap completely.

Barrel and Accuracy

The barrel is made of gun steel, rifled (12 left-hand grooves, counter-clockwise) with a twist rate of 450 mm. The barrel's design and materials have been retained from previous versions, ensuring consistent shot accuracy.
