Teneta Drone Detector (415-1050MHz) — Overview and Features
The Teneta Drone Detector (415-1050 MHz) is a portable device of Ukrainian production from the TENETA brand, designed for fast and reliable detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Teneta comes with two antennas, provides detection of FPV and other types of drones, and is suitable for use by private security groups, enterprises, at mass events, and by operational units.
Frequency Range and Detection Distance
The device covers frequencies from 415 to 1050 MHz. Under normal conditions, Teneta detects drones at a distance of over 2 km, and in an open field environment, the maximum detection distance can reach 4.5 km. The detector tracks signal levels (RSSI) at specific frequencies, allowing for an assessment of the source intensity and approximate distance to it.
Power, Charging, and Battery Life
Battery life is approximately 7 hours 30 minutes. Battery charging time is about 90 minutes at 5V and 1A current. Charging is supported via standard USB or Type-C connectors. Remaining operating time is displayed on the device's main screen (at the top).
Interfaces and Connectivity
Teneta can connect to an Android smartphone via a special "Teneta" application. The application allows displaying the device screen on a mobile phone, viewing graphs and RSSI levels by frequency, and conducting remote monitoring and signal analysis.
Alarms and Notifications
The notification system is implemented via sound, vibration, and on-screen information display. The user can adjust parameters or completely disable sound and vibration in the settings menu. The device also supports LoRa packet sound playback mode. Thresholds and detection times can be configured for more precise operation in various conditions.
Operation under EW Influence
Teneta remains operational in the presence of electronic warfare (EW) equipment, however, with active EW, the ability to detect UAVs via their own communication channels is lost. Instead, the detector allows scanning RSSI to detect the presence and power of the jamming source, which is useful for assessing EW actions.
